My father-in-law is here. He is treated well, better than the previous nursing home. Everything is clean and he is actually made to do his physiotherapy, something that didn’t happen at the last place. So yes, we’re happy.
Extremely disappointed with the management at Stella Maris Aged Care. Since Judy became the Facility Manager, the culture of this place has gone downhill fast. The atmosphere feels tense, and many residents seem genuinely uncomfortable approaching management because the way issues are handled can feel intimidating rather than caring. There also appears to be clear favouritism shown toward certain residents, which is unprofessional and creates an unfair environment for everyone else. My father last year and my friend this year best care, dignity and support for family and friends who visit. End of life support is done with compassion and dignity. Both nursing homes run by St Vincents Care which looks after the families and friends of residents too.
