I went into Stein’s looking for a planter for a new cactus. I was with a friend who was also looking for pots. We found the perfect planters, but the medium size had no stickers, while the small did. My friend grabbed a small (2”) for herself, and I grabbed a medium (4” same design) for myself. When we got to the front, the 2” pot rang up for $2.99, then an additional 40% off brought it to only $1.79! What a steal! Sadly though, because the sticker was missing from the pot I grabbed, the store spent 15 minutes searching for a UPC for it. After those 15 minutes, an employee came up from the back with a sticker that read “hanging planter s” and it rang up for $12.99 ($7.49 after the discount). The cashier, Dom, noticed immediately that the description and price weren’t right, and he pointed it out to me, then asked the stock person to look for the correct code again. After another 10 minutes, Dom took a call informing him that the sticker reading “hanging planter s” is, indeed, correct and that the 4”, non-hanging pot was originally $12.99 even though the same pot in 2” was only $2.99. Dom informed me that there was no way he could correct the issue, so I passed on the pot. Not 30 second later, as my card was processing for another item I purchased, Terri came up from the back and asked “Is there an issue?” I informed her of the problem, but she proceeded to tell me that me, my friend, and their cashier are all incorrect. She insisted that the manager clarified that the $12.99 sticker that reads “hanging planter s” is correct, and that the $2.99, terra cotta pot — whose sticker read “s terracotta planter” — was wrong. I informed Terri that both her, and her manager are incorrect, and again she insisted we were all wrong. I know the customer isn’t ways right, but I assure you, through reading description, this time they were. I’m ashamed of the store’s lack of customer care in with situation, and the honest-to-god stupidity of both Terri and the manager. From someone who spent YEARS in customer service, I can tell you that they should have taken a moment to listen to the customer, and use their eyes to read the labels; sadly, however, they did not. They also should never have continued telling me I was incorrect (even though I was not) after I’d already passed on purchasing the item. I hope they learn from this review and get more intelligent employees like Dom. For reference, here is the non-hanging planter with the 2” version inside the 4” version on the shelf.

A perfect place for anything for the yard I enjoy shoping at this place when it comes to finding something for the yard. The prices are a little higher than some places but they carry the better quality stuff. It is worth the extra cost.
