I contacted Paul regarding the refurbishment of three porch windows which were originally installed in the 1920's and had seen better days. Apart from general deterioration problems also included a broken hinge and siezed openers. The windows were removed and taken to Paul's workshop where they were repaired, shot blasted, treated and powder coated to a very high standard looking like new. Paul Murphy from sfwr came to my Listed cottage in Sussex to review the original crittall windows. He was punctual,thorough and gave me honest advice as to the best course of action. He recommended a solution that he did not profit from but was much more affordable for me. It's unusual and reassuring that honesty came before profit and would recommend his opinion to anyone. When I described the problem with my window Paul asked me to send photos. He responded quickly, clearly and in detail, setting out his diagnosis, and explaining how the issue could be resolved. His quotation was acceptable and the efficiency of his response gave me confidence that he would be able to undertake a satisfactory repair. Many thanks to Paul and the team for doing this job for me. I was struggling to find a steel window specialist who could do this job without taking the windows out and within a reasonable cost and time frame. An initial survey was taken out quickly and the scope of works agreed. The guys who came out worked quickly and efficiently and in fact the job was completed ahead of schedule. we had windows that would not open or close cleanly, severe rust damage and some broken hinges.
