Today, STCU Spokane Valley branch gave cash to a person NOT listed on my account. This is just unbelievable. The teller did not look carefully enough at the ID but still have the person cash via drive through. I went in person to see what happened, and they confirmed it! This bank is a joke. For those of you who want to scam people, try STCU Valley branch! Ironically, of course, I give them 5 starts rating, you figure for what.
RecommendedThe Valley branch has always been very helpful and resolved any issues quickly. The wait time is generally next to nothing and their atms work great. No complaints at all.

STCU is an awful institution. they charge you overdraft fee after overdraft fee even when your account is in the positive. they have charged me over $1000 in my history with them in non sufficient funds fees and overdraft fees which are 99% of the time given incorrectly because their technology is outdated and awful. their app is unintuitive and not user friendly, their practices are greedy and underhanded. they are a criminal institution disguised as a credit union. save yourself thousands of dollars and thousands of hours ... read more
My experience with STCU was them loaning me money to purchase two vehicles within a couple months apart. Anytime I had to go into a branch to make a payment the employees were always friendly and courteous. When I went in to pay off my truck I was in and out within five minutes. No one trying to talk me into getting another loan or anything like that.
VERY unimpressed with the girl at the front desk & her associate (wish I had gotten names but she had short curly hair) who were blunt and unhelpful with my issue. However, the teller Melissa was AWESOME and she took the time to get everything figured out. She was very friendly and professional, saving the day (and this review)

I am switching to a credit union and have heard good things about STCU and I have questions of services at 13501 E Sprague Ave, Spokane Valley WA, 99216. But I cannot call them directly. If I want to talk with them I have to go to that branch in person. I do think their customer service is like talking to Bank of America so I will look elsewhere for a credit union in Spokane Valley that does and wants to be of service. Disappointed in the Valley
