Nice little gift shop and very interesting displays of the old train station and Oak Island.
Stopped by this place looking to shop for some locally made items. They have a lot of handmade items like rugs, knitted items - sweaters, mittens, hats, toys, woodwork and more. There are lots of items to choose from. I bought a cotton fabric soup bowl and dinner plate set holder which is useful when one is warming up food in the microwave. This is a place I would recommend to go to when looking for local products to bring home and at the same time supporting local Nova Scotia artisans.
Lots to see and browse
I stopped in looking for local dog friendly places with a patio to grab some lunch and walking trails, specifically Rum Runners. The gentleman was great and helpful but the lady with the red hair came off as rude. I asked about a patio and she commented about health regulations and some people dont like dogs and she doesn't like kids. She did not realize I have four dogs and four kids. We did not stay, moved along to Mahone Bay and Lunenburg.
