Been on hold for over 20 minutes today, called about a month ago as well and was on hold for over a hour. Does anyone ever answer? They are quick to fine you but slow to respond or answer calls. Can't setup a payment plan online and then can't get a hold of anyone at the FTB. But they sure are quick to file a bank levy against you.

Just had $802 taken from my bank account. I called the number and the lady informed me that Fresno Country sent a levy to them due to a ticket not paid in 2020. During the height of COVID. FTC told me they sent 1 letter, their due diligence during the height of COVID asking for the money. Out of nowhere 6 years later, on a random Thursday July 16 they decided to take the money from my bank account 6 years later with no warning, no letter, no phone call, just a bank levy. The absolute WORST customer service. I so wish I would have paid attention to the lady’s name I talked to. She was atrocious. She kept interrupting, wouldn’t listen, and couldn’t track anything I was saying. I had talked to somebody else in a different department who was actually helpful. I was providing her the exact same information he gave me and she kept shutting me down. Horrible look to have the agency supported by tax dollars in charge of taking your money be so incompetent and unhelpful. 99% of the time you call (after going through numerous annoying phone prompts) it just says 'high call volume can't take your call' and disconnects. Where are all our tax dollars going? Last year, my refund did not go through because the agency couldn't 'find' my state income withholding because they didn't scroll to the second page of my W2. I think these people are curropt because I paid my balance in full which was several thousand dollars, then they sent me another bill saying I owe another $260.00 for "late fees and interest". I paid the additional fees without calling because it takes forever to reach a paid in taxes "worker" and ask questions. The website is horrible to navigate and I cannot check my balance.
