Douglas Fir is the way to go. The pellets from Lowe's and Home Depot are completely trash the bags from them say low ash. The pellets from these stores leave about 1 cup of ash per bag plus the dust in the bag. The Douglas Fir I purchase from State Line...Awesome. Very little dust in the bag and only a few tablespoons full of ash after each burn. I only have to clean my stove ONCE per week. Great product and service, owner gave me a few bag of each brand to try before I bought. Thanks again.

Great service and products! I have been getting my pellets from them for 7 years since purchasing a stove. Always delivery on time at a competitive price. The other review from Denis is just a complaint about the pellet brand and should not reflect the company.

This is my first experience with a pellet stove. My experience with this company was good but I didn't like the pellets I purchased. I found the North Country brand to have too much dust and too much ash. The pellets I was burning from another company were excellent but I had to pick them up myself, it was getting old. I will purchase from this company again but not the same brand.
