Deli has now gone pretty much exclusively with Boar’s Head which is among the most expensive brands out here. Average prices were $9-$12 a lb unless you wanted bologna at $7 a lb. You can still get their Taglio brand so basically lowest quality and highest quality with little to nothing in between. Stupid decision. I hope Market Basket moves into Quincy and finally shuts this place down.

My husband and I no longer shop here, this used to be our #1 grocery store, then they moved the “whole/natural foods” section and dispersed all the items around the whole store. Now our favorite brands are literally impossible to locate, we were both so frustrated when trying to shop here we gave up. Star market management made a very bad decision when they moved that section. They used to be competitors of Whole Foods - then they decided to take themselves out of the competition. What is up with this store??? It used to be pretty good, but the past couple of weeks everything that is on sale is completely cleaned out, and the yoghurt isle hasn't had anything but a sad vanilla bean sitting there all alone. This used to be a good store to go to, but now it's not even worth going in even when I'm going to the store next to it anyway. Up until recently I would recommend Star. But not now that the coffee grinders and loose beans have been done away with. I will now go to Market Basket which is closer to me. Trader Joe's and Whole foods still have their grinders and beans because they value the customer over having to do a little cleanup work.
