Opened in 1956 as a movie theater and planned by William Glenn Balch, it was the among the 17 theaters this architect had designed and also the biggest. The Star Theatre got a new lease of life almost three decades ago when it was transformed as a theater. Though its size has reduced, it is still a hub for theater enthusiasts. It is now the base of two theater companies and an academy. Showcasing a plethora of programs for all ages, it has drama, music, dance and comedy in its productions to keep you engaged.

Saw Pippin and what a talented cast!
Classic 50s theater. They put on some really good productions here. We've been twice, and both performances were excellent.
