I reviewed Star Movers several years ago following a very positive experience. This was my reason for hiring them again. I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I was originally quoted $934 for my move, but the final cost was an outrageous $1,912 for what should have been a straightforward job involving only 2 beds (with one not even reassembled), one sectional, 2 loveseats, a 4-piece dinette set, one cabinet, 6 counter chairs, one TV stand, one desk, one dresser, 2 nightstands, one rug, a washer and dryer, and a grill. Hired star movers August 2025 and they damaged multiple appliances that were just two years old. Said they would reimburse for damaged parts and replacement for microwave that was inoperable. Countless emails, calls, and texts touching base on the status and they just keep saying “we are working on it” or “I don’t see the owner much”. Seven months later and still no information regarding the claim.
I’m about a week late on this review but John did a tremendous job on my 2 day move. He pushed through every obstacle that came up like a true professional! Ask for John to be apart of your move when you book with Star Movers!
John, Moe, and Onyx were a great help and I really appreciated their help! This company was the best decision I made to assist with moving my things. They were very professional, punctual and swift all while ensuring no scuff marks were on my walls or damage brought to my property.
