Quality supermarket This is a very good, LARGE supermarket. They have a lot of variety of everything. Really extremely convenient for city dwelling folk that have a hard time getting around. Especially because they have a full liquor store contained in one department of the store! As an underage college student, you probably will appreciate the relative ease with which the non-English speaking cashiers will sell you any products from this section.
Good for an Urban Supermarket For a supermarket that's located in the heart of the city, this place is great. Once inside, you have no idea that you're in a city supermarket because the store is massive like one you'd find in the suburbs. Prices are relatively comparable with prices at other Boston food outlets. Very clean, lots of registers, easy to get in and out.
Best in the City! You cannot do better than this Shaw's if you're looking for an urban super market. The selection is amazing considering their location. In particular their selection of deli meats, cheeses and olives is amazing. They have everything you could ever want in a super market.
good one This is a very good supermarket located in a busy street. It is so huge that I often get lost shopping here. They have anything and everything you would want for your daily living.
Great store, good prices You can find lots of good deals in this store, as well as a wide selection. My first couple years in the dorms I lived off of Ramen noodles, 10 packs for $1. Can't beat that! Only a couple times did I shop here and things were strewn around and/or empty and being re-stocked. For the most part, it's a good shopping experience, and not very busy at all if you go during the afternoon.
Impressive Selection Shaws is great if you need to shop for everyday groceries, find something a little exotic or unique, and great for an on-the-go dinner. Salad bar is great, cheap and tasty. Also has Krispy Kremes for cheap.
Star Market A good grocery store with great weekly sale items. This location is usually pretty crowded and packed full of people. Also, I'd say this isn't the best place to buy produce, as it is expensive and not as fresh as it should be. The staff at this location isn't very helpful or polite either.
Star Market Star Market is a great grocery store they have everything organized and that makes it so much easier to shop and find what you are looking for they are also a lot more reasnoable than al ot of other grocery stores that i have found. I like them the best out of the grocery stores and would reccomend them to anyone looking for reasonabley priced, and quick service.
Star Market - Cambridge Star Market is really great. It has a natural food section with really low prices and a good selection. The weekly sales are also really great. Some of them include ice cream for $1.88 a half gallon, $2.50 Boca Burgers, and $2.50 for chock full o nuts coffee. The store is also large and usually not very crowded with a self checkout section.
