~Oldest Bait & Tackle Shop in both the Northwest Indiana & Chicagoland areas, owned & operated by the same Petrites family for 82 years... We reopened for business on February 21st, 2019 after a brief move. We still carry an exceptional variety of live & frozen bait, in addition to fishing tackle. I used to go get worms and supplies with Christina, and all was fine beside the horrible smell. Her son, which is young, is about 13 years old or so. This young man has a very bad attitude and a smart mouth. However, I've ignored it, and the biggest issue is that when I show up during business hours, they never answer the phone or messages, and the door is locked. Im surprised it's even still in business, sad to say. God bless them, though. Sorry, not sorry.

Place use to be a nice when the old man had it....stopped by this morning stuff outdated and overpriced nothing looks brand new used at best no credit card machine and spend 30 bucks on two things and....don't waste your time better off going to Walmart or cabelas if all the have is worms
Terrible service Terrible everything Went there waited to get let in for them to tell.me they have NOTHING NO WORMS NO MINNOWS NO ANYTHING been a Terrible place to go for the last 6 months or so Don't go here drive the distance to another bait shop
Don’t come here for your fishing needs, we arrived at 9:10 the door was locked we called and they didn’t answer only for them to text us back with hours.. we waited longer they eventually opened the door, only to be let down, their tanks were drained and they were picking mealworms out of a maggot container, there was like 10 worms and they wanted $5.. save your time and go somewhere else.
