~Oldest Bait & Tackle Shop in both the Northwest Indiana & Chicagoland areas, owned & operated by the same Petrites family for 82 years... We reopened for business on February 21st, 2019 after a brief move. We still carry an exceptional variety of live & frozen bait, in addition to fishing tackle. Worst bait shop ever. Don’t even go. Never open when stated. Just find a better place or go to cabelas
We arrived in the late afternoon and noticed that it's a sign that said it was open but there was nobody there. We yelled out. Hello,?? there was no response no nothing so we left so I don't know if Stan is still in business or there's just a miscommunication in hours.
You can’t run a business unless you’re open.
Went twice during store hours and did not get served. Incompetent kid working there that said he gave us extra minnows so we wouldn’t check, but when we checked we were about 8 minnows short. Unfortunate that this is the only bait shop near by. Have to go to cabelas from now on for minnows
