First off, I won't bury the lede: I saved nearly $120 total here vs. online. I'm not a pro chef or restaurateur (quite the contrary: I had to get a bunch of kitchen stuff for my new camper lol). I finally got to peruse the goodies at Standard Restaurant Supply this week. Amazing variety of products of high-quality and amazingly friendly and helpful staff. If you need it they probably got it.
Don't run a restaurant but love buying restaurant-grade kitchen supplies from a place where I can see & touch things and talk to people who are more knowledgeable than I am. Huge store with great selection & friendly employees. I'd highly recommend you come here if you want to buy cheap & well-made knives. You don't need to be buying $200 knives from fancy brands, especially if you're willing to do your own honing & sharpening. The only thing we don't buy here are cutting boards.
