Paid real estate tax early December, went online to print tax receipts, said I hadn’t paid and was being fined. So I paid again and stopped the check thinking it was lost in the mail. Got charged for stopping the check even though I paid online. Still haven’t received any communication from collector of revenues office. Unprofessional service. They should get audited.

Pay in office if you plan on getting tags renewed same day! Their site doesn't tell you this until AFTER you have processed the payment and is poorly worded. Called in to confirm bc of other reviews. They answered promptly and were polite etc. Suggested they change how its set up because its misleading. Maybe even a notice on the emails that go out would be helpful/easier than changing the site?

I had such a great experience working with Justin Zehnle from the Office of the Collector of Revenue in St. Louis! He was incredibly helpful, quick, and genuinely enthusiastic about resolving my refund request. Honestly, this was hands down the best experience I've ever had dealing with any government office. Justin went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled smoothly. Huge thanks to Justin for making this process so easy and stress-free!
