My mother’s stay at SJP after the hospital/surgery, was a setback. They let her fall in the shower before she came home. I wanted to help her myself, but they said no to that. The CNA was distracted and left the room. The fall resulted in a higher degree of pain and disability, than if she’d come straight home after the hospital. St. James is a good place to work with, they treat their staff like a family and i will recommend them to anyone
St. James has not been transparent with families about their COVID rates
I've been around many different retirement communities and this is by far the best community I have ever had the privilege of dealing with. The staff are the most caring and involved team in the business, and the residents are kind, loving, and active. The administration cares about the residents' wants and needs, involving them by seeking their input on decisions. They truly create an environment where the residents are able to live life well, and thrive as a community.
