I was making an online purchase with a Canadian based company today and as I was finalizing my transaction I was notified by my bank that they had blocked the payment because they do not allow Canadian transactions. Just for the record I will say that the payment was to be made from my CHECKING account. Real money that belongs to ME! It is not up to the bank, ANY BANK to tell me where or when I am allowed to spend MY MONEY!!!!! The offending bank is Savannah River Plant Federal Credit Union located in North Augusta SC.
