Sad thing is this isn't even one of the worst nursing homes you can go to.I know it's hard choosing for a family member but year after year Atrium/Spring Hills/Atlas? has gotten worse. With crazy management and staff turnover there are so many issues to name. With a very checked out staff of nurses, kitchen and house cleaning employees; it saddens me everytime I visit my grandmother. My mom was in and out of here in several occasions. And it was never a good experience even with new management. My mom fell in their care was vleedingcon the brain.. her food was left in the room knowing she couldn't feed her self and she was always starving. The second time they found her in the floor they never sent her ro the er and called me 3 hours later. I really enjoyed this job in the begginning. Working with the residents was very fulfilling. Unfortunately it didn’t hold up. The turn over rate was pretty severe. Some Aides and nurses were very rude to residents and other staff members. It was super short staffed and led me to become abosutley exhausted. I’d think to myself “just another cog in the machine” and slowly started to fail to take care of myself. I have worked here for all of two months. Dan was absolutely the worst “boss” there is. My heart breaks for those in memory care. Not only was the aides sleeping 90% of the time- I had a family member there and told them repeatedly he needed to be changed. They said ok I’m not doing that now. Three hours later and nothing. I reported it to director of nursing and the aides flipped on me. They purposely sleep in the tv room on that floor because they know there wasn’t any cameras.
