Not only are the staff overwhelmingly rude to the point of abusive and wholly ineffectual, they're led by Larry Pritchett running largely unencumbered since the 80's-90's. The entire office, Pritchett included, cannot own up to or take responsibility for their egregious mistakes--which are numerous and glaring in their fault--and costly to taxpayers. I just called and spoke to two different rude people at the Spotsylvania Treasurer’s Office. Back in August or September, I called because I never received my first half of the year property tax bill in the mail. The woman I spoke to then told me it would be sent out the following month—but I never received anything. Now, I’ve just received both my first and second half property tax bills together, with the first half showing it’s due in December and will start accruing interest if not paid.
