Purchased a few of the mystery graded card boxes from Scheels. These are by far the worst mystery boxes on the market. 2 of the cards are worth about $2 - $3 and the other is about a $7 card. I paid $150. I also got 2 football cards when I don’t even collect football. The Scheels employee stated there is no way to tell what kind of card is inside with these packs. I will start this scathing review on a positive note. I had been in here a few times and I did buy a Topps Chrome Hobby Box and pulled a good card, but after what happened today, I will have to rethink going here. I went in today and I asked the employee if he would sell me the Topps NFL 2025 Megaboxes at the suggested retail price of $69.99 that he was selling for $95 a piece. Bought some pokemon products, an etb and a booster bundle. Both were resealed. These people are thieves! They didn't return my money. Bunch of LIARS!! Avoid at all costs.
Their Graded Card Mystery Packs raise serious concerns about transparency and value. I purchased one with low expectations and was still disappointed. Even the employee at the comic shop where I bought it mentioned they hadn’t seen anyone pull anything worthwhile. I later shared my experience on Reddit, where it received thousands of upvotes and prompted dozens of others to share similarly poor results.
