Spirit of Texas Winery is a small winery owned by Moira & Brian McCue. They both had separate careers but wanted to do something together. They bought the property in July of 2016 and started working on turning an overgrown mesquite-filled property into a winery & vineyard. After clearing 400 mesquites, they worked on converting the existing metal barn into a beautiful tasting room using 100% reclaimed/repurposed materials that were on the property. Such a fabulous place! Pizza is great. And of course the wine is wonderful too. Great selection.
Mrs.McCue was so informative when telling us about each of the wines we tasted, and was super sweet! We got the spinach artichoke dip and the cream cheese with raspberry chipotle sauce and they were both amazing. I definitely recommend this place to everyone
We’re so lucky to have such a wonderful, special place near Brownwood/Early. The atmosphere is so laid back and comfortable, the food is tasty, the wines are delicious (and there are so many you never get bored— plus, there’s something for every taste), and Brian and Moira treat everyone like friends. I’ve made lovely memories here with friends and family, and occasionally have enjoyed a glass on the patio by myself. I highly recommend Skies Over Texas!

Mara was the greatest! She knew the wines very well and able to guide me into which ones to taste! She was very friendly and knowledgeable!
