My grandmother...Nanny...from Newfoundland made this blanket for me in 1977. Nanny would use phentex for slippers and cushion covers. Saw a Family Circle magazine in grocery store showing that you could join granny squares and make blankets. So I called long distance to tell Nanny about this...off she went with the idea.
