By far the worst experiences I've ever had with a financial institution. This credit union claims to care about its community, but in reality, it seems far more focused on making money than helping its members. This bank is reckless with its members information! I received a call the other day informing me that my savings account had been accidentally connected to another members checking account since 2022. We both have checking accounts with Truist and somehow had the same amount and date for deposit into our Spero accounts. They informed that I owe them 6400 dollars in back payments because of their mistake. How do you enter another members checking account into someone elses? This bank was the best around before they switched ownership. “Spero” sucks.. and the customer service is 0-10 when you call in for help. And don’t ask questions about deposits.. clearly they don’t want your money. Never heard of a bank that doesn’t want your money.. what an absolute joke.
I have been banking with Spero and the company before Spero since I was 8 when my grandpa would take my quarters up there and deposit them for my college fund. Well I will admit I lost my debt card and had to pay the $10 for a replacement. I put my request in 12/31/24 and my card shipped on the 1/4/25. It is now 1/29/25 I send a message on the message center stating I haven’t received it back on 1/14/25. Emailed thread with someone speaking to almost every other day up till today.
