We visited Tampa for an initial intensive spelling session for our 13 year old non speaking son. Our time with Dana was transformational and life changing for our son and our family. I brought my 15 year old non-speaking daughter from NC to Spellers in Tampa for intensive sessions for both Spelling and OT. Even though this is going to be a long road ahead (Anything worth having takes time) I was so encouraged by both Dana and Emily. They had so much patiences but were also motivating with my daughter. My son is an unreliable speaker. We had our 2 day intensive with Dana Johnson this week. Wow is all I can say. She was amazing with my son and incredibly helpful teaching me how to help my son become an effective Speller. I know this is the right avenue for my son and so many others like him. I had a perfect experience during my student rotation under the supervision of Dr. Melanie. She is an exceptional supervisor supportive, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to both her patients and students. Spellers Center Tampa is such an amazing place! I went here for fieldwork rotations and have learned so much from everyone there especially Melanie! She has given nothing but care and love towards all of her clients and I aspire to do the same! I recommended Spellers to family members as well!
