Rick your the best !!!!! I was In Juneau Alaska on vacation when the worst happened , my girlfriend broke my glasses during some fun time. In they only mall in Juneau I found specs in the city . My wife and I were visiting from Texas and i stupidly only brought one pair of my glasses. We went out fishing all day one day and the frame broke right in the middle. The owner Rick and his staff fixed us right up. He custom fit my old lenses into a new set of very attractive frames as I waited. The price was $239 and he gave me a few extra's to go with them. Very over priced – I bought a pair of SWITCH sunglasses here. They sold them too me for $249.00 after a 10% discount. Not paying much attention (my fault obviously) I paid for them. That evening I noticed across the hall, AND on line they sell for $169.00 They would not give me a refund or take the glasses back. I dont mind paying a little more living here in Juneau but they are rediculous. CHECK prices first before buying at Specs In The City in Juneau. They are overpriced.
Screaming is not good customer service – I had a horrible experience with this shop, which escalated quickly to the management yelling at me for a mistake that was clearly theirs. Do not patronage. This is what's wrong with customer service in Juneau. Also, my friend said he was not surprised because he was sold glasses there which "fell apart without provocation."
Strange experiences w/Specs in the City Juneau – Last September I thought I got different frames than ordered but said nothing. It turns out they are NOT titanium but nickel. Specs offered to replace them on warranty, but the new ones I got are supposed to be titanium too but they don't say so on the frame. THEN, I bought a pair of plastic frames and am sure I got a different pair than ordered and this time I spoke up and returned them.
