I don't know what's going on with the negative reviews. The food at Madonna is consistently good (especially in the cafe). Try the specials (fish and chips, meatloaf, or tri tip). You won't be disappointed.
would have given NO stars but web page would not let me. We went on Sept. 1,2011 to have steak dinners. Our steaks were so tough we could only eat few bites. We sent our steaks back and were offered free dessert. What? Spent $86.00 on steaks we could not eat. I did call the manager the next day to let him know how bad steaks were.All he offered was for my husband and I to share one steak dinner! we bought 2 steak dinners not one. Amazing Experience Simply an amazing Spa experience. It's newly opened and I think they are still fine tuning, but I will definately come back. The pool was incredible too. Great place for a mini vacation. Cookies were heavenly! Have to have a treatment to taste them, they aren't on the menu anywhere else at the resort! Don't forget to make time for a drink by the pool after your day at the Spa. I did!
Popped into the cafe for an late afternoon meal. Nothing on the menu offered an entree with potatoes and vegetable at a moderate price. There was expensive steaks and seafood only. I ended up ordering a tri-tip hot sandwich (that offered mashed potatoes & gravy) with a salad which was good but still pricey. I didn't try the dessert. I did enjoy visiting the gift shoppe upstairs. Definitely a tourist hangout.
Cool n' kitch! – What makes this hotel unique and special? This inn is the definition of unique and special! We stayed in the Highway suite, enjoyed the pool, danced to the live band and had the best time! Hilarious, romantic, and unforgettable!
Average – The staff could have been friendlier and for the price, the portions bigger or better tasting. I might be temped to compare it to a Dennys.
This atmosphere of this place, at night, is vaguely reminiscent of an an 'acid trip', but less organized. The restaurant hostess is brusque and will talk to a potential customer on the phone instead of dealing with a real customer standing in front of her. The jazz band, which is key to their Friday advertising, is only viewable if one is part of a very large party with a reservation. A fun experience! – We found the Madonna Inn on our journey from San Francisco to LA quite by accident. We had been told about it but really didn't know how "famous" it was! We stayed in one of the rock rooms - very unusual - hard on bare feet - but fun. Comfy bed - great shower but don't drop anything breakable!! We looked around before we left - actually we peeked in windows of the other rooms. We would recommend it, just for the novelty of it, to our friends. Central California Must You can't miss it from the freeway. I've never stayed, but love walking around. Check out their wine shop, it is very nice. World famous for its unique rooms with different themes.
