Cool n' kitch! – What makes this hotel unique and special? This inn is the definition of unique and special! We stayed in the Highway suite, enjoyed the pool, danced to the live band and had the best time! Hilarious, romantic, and unforgettable!
Average – The staff could have been friendlier and for the price, the portions bigger or better tasting. I might be temped to compare it to a Dennys.
A fun experience! – We found the Madonna Inn on our journey from San Francisco to LA quite by accident. We had been told about it but really didn't know how "famous" it was! We stayed in one of the rock rooms - very unusual - hard on bare feet - but fun. Comfy bed - great shower but don't drop anything breakable!! We looked around before we left - actually we peeked in windows of the other rooms. We would recommend it, just for the novelty of it, to our friends. It was a bit pricey but I was able to talk them down a bit. Bea... read more
Awful service – We were booked into the Caveman room which was absolutely the most unique room I have stayed in. However the waterfall shower was more like two hoses pointing at each other and spraying water in all directions. There was no bottled water available to buy in the room or on the location, no room service and not a tap in sight to even fill a glass with. We booked dinner in the steak house and spent a fortune eating bland steaks and frozen vegetables. The next morning we were woken at 6.45AM by the sound of drill... read more
A kitschy yet well-run hotel! – My husband and I stayed at the Caveman Room (his idea) the first year we started dating. We ended up getting engaged there two years ago. We then had our Sunday brunch (after our wedding) there near the saloon last June. The brunch was delicious and the servers were friendly. Despite the PINK decor, this place is well-run and the food and service are professional. It's tons of fun and really romantic in its own strange way. I did NOT find the Caveman room musty at all. It was extremely clean a... read more
Madonna Inn – Surprised my boyfriend for his birthday w/ a Friday night stay in the all-rock Caveman Room. What a cool room! I only wish I had a picture of his face when we opened the door - like a little kid at the entrance of Disneyland... This room probably isn't for everyone, but we loved it - everything from the waterfall shower to the clubs hanging on either side of the bed to the "waterfall wall". There was also an an unexpected large flat-screen TV w/ cable/comp HBO & 2 super soft robes - though my boyfriend didn't w... read more
Central Coast's kitschy gem of an inn allows you to be a cavewoman for a day. – In Short The flamboyant pink-and-white inn's exterior is a roadside attraction in and of itself, but the 109 individually themed rooms are equally eye-popping and grand. The most popular room, the Caveman, is typically booked months in advance, but a few other rooms also feature the popular cave-like stone interior walls and waterfall shower. Other themes include Swiss chalets, antique cars, safaris and pioneer cabins. Rooms have basic amenities ... read more
Worth the stay – Not only is the Madonna Inn a fun hotel but it is located in a the nice little (big) town of San Luis Obispo, Ca. The have a cute little downtown where you see families, students, teenagers and young adults all intertwined. And every Thursday nights downtown is home to the local farmers market.
