Only dealt with one person, but she is either the most inept person I have ever met, or intentionally sabotaged my entire experience. From falsely claiming unbreakable policy and instantly breaking it, to making ridiculous demands of us five minutes before closing, claiming to email and not having and then playing phone dodge for 4 hours, finally Liza gets her side done and even THAT can’t be done right, she messed up my user name despite having it in email AND over the phone. This bank branch has the worst customer service. Just rude employees. One of them who has been there for years, long before South State took over Center State, is the worst. EDIT: I came back to add more to my review from 9 months ago. It’s actually unbelievable how rude the employees of this branch are. You are treated like a nuisance as soon as you walk in. We opened an account in the Davenport branch of Center State Bank in 2013. Right from the word go it has always been a pleasure going into the branch and dealing with the staff there. Being customers in a different country does have it's issues but we, Southstate Bank and us, have always managed to work our way through them. Even closing our account was a really nice experience, only closed because all our other interests in Florida have now finished. Went to this branch today to see how their service was. Potential new customer. I went to the associate named Sarah to ask for some quarters. I was met with an arched eyebrow and a skeptical look. Sarah asked if I had an account, then quickly dismissed me when I said i did not Sarah did not attempt to onboard a new customer today. South State Bank missed out on onboarding a new client because of poor customer service today. I hope others see this and can make a decision to bank somewhere else with a company who actually care... read more
