Brought mum in this morning to A & E. Just wanted to say a massive big thank you for looking after her so well. Everyone went out of their way to make a scary experience for mum such a reassuring one. Saw a lovely junior Dr. who treated mum with respect and explained everything to her. She organised various tests and a TIA was diagnosed. I cannot thank you enough for your kind, caring and professional attitude. Pat Hesketh

Had a very positive experience in Southport A&E. Rang 111 in the morning and was told to go to A&E due to heart palpitations and body shaking amongst other viral symptoms. Was seen within an hour. Ellie-Mae was very understanding and explained the ECG procedure and made me feel comfortable. Was then called in to the Dr, who took my bloods. Waited half an hour for both results and the Dr was very calm, professional and reassuring. Was even offered a cup of tea whilst in the waiting area.

I don't know why there are so many negative comments. The staff from admittance at A&E to those in SDEC were very good, friendly, caring and professional. They went above and beyond in my opinion. They were understaffed but put in every effort for this not to impact patients.
