Wow what a pleasant educational experience it is to visit Southgate. I toss out ideas I've "heard on the web" and Rusty, Maia or Marie always give me the skinny on the pros and cons of my thoughts. Again, as always when I'm ready to buy, they still take their time walking me through everything to make sure I am comfortable. I'm 37 and really value old fashioned business ethics. Accordingly I'm a YUGE fan of Southgate.
I have been to this shop on several occasions, years apart. The staff on all occasions was extremely helpful and friendly and full of wonderful information. I stopped in to just sell some gold eagles and ended up talking for an hour about all sorts of interesting numismatic trivia. If you want to buy or sell something at an honest price from an honest business, this is the one for you!
I have been dealing with this business over the last two years. I always find their service to be extremely friendly and they will go out of their way to help you. A few years ago I had to sell a coin collection from my mother-in-laws estate and they gave me the highest offer of any coin dealer in Reno. My son is a coin dealer in another state and when he comes to Reno he will also deals with this business. He says that they are one of the two best coin dealers in the Reno area.
I love this coin store! I collect both bullion and rare coins and this shop always has the rare items that I cannot find at the other stores in town. I was amazed how knowledgeable the staff is. They are very fair on prices too. I love Englehard silver bars and the owner helped me to find all the bars that I needed to complete my collection. This is a great store and I would encourage anyone to check them out.
I found this establishment very good to do business with. I'm new to bullion investing but Marie and Maya were very informative and patient.I reccomend Southgate Coins to anyone selling or buying bullion.
