I suffer from degenerative disk disease. I have had four back surgeries from a very talented surgeon. But the people who have put me back together and gotten me on my feet are the professional at Southern Tier Physical Therapy. It has been a hard road (7+years) to get where I am today, mostly pain free. If it was not for their knowledge, encouragement, and counseling at 55 yrs old I would probably be disabled, in a wheel care, or worse. I would recommend these kind, caring, professionals to anyone.
Not very happy about the experience with STPTherapy either. My first appointment lasted 2hrs and they hardly did a thing for me. I sat almost the entire time. An assistant was assigned by the therapist to give me some pressure on the disc area. He hardly touched my as he was talking to someone. Even when i told him i could hardly feel a thing - he didn't respond to me. No decompression on the first visit altho i was there for 2hrs. They charged me for stim although i never received it. All they want is your money! These guys are a joke! I went to them because they have the latest technology for my herniated disk, which didn't help! And they charged my insurance for everything... even treatment that I didn't get!! Basically, when I would get there, I would have to wait to get a "hi" and when they wanted to stop talking about their personal lives and they would make me wait 20 min just to get some heat and steim.
