If you’re reading this, please spare whoever you are considering moving into this facility. This place does not need to be in business. My grandmother was a resident here and has since passed away recently. She was not taken care of at all. Her health declined so rapidly after moving here. Back in March, she showed symptoms of having a stroke, one being intense slurred speech. Understaffed always. Can't keep help due to administration. Do not take care of their patients. Nurses do not know what they are doing. Aids are overworked. Food is poor and over cooked. Does not taste good at all. I dont know who owns are runs this nursing home. But they need to quit working about money in their pockets and put money into their patient care. Sad situation.
Everytime I visit a family friend, which is almost weekly they are understaffed. The ac/heating system is broken, and half the rooms are TOO hot, in the summer in Oklahoma that is not good for elderly. The other half of the rooms are freezing cold even in the winter. They barely have food on the weekends there because they can’t get anyone to work. It should be shut down.
my Dad has been on hospice for three months at home and it became too difficult for Mom to lift him so she brought him to Southern Pointe. I've been so impressed that his quality of life has improved immensely from being at home!! I'm so grateful to all the nurses, aides, hospice team, kitchen and laundry and cleaning staff because now he has people who can pick him up and lift him.
