My mother is nearly 99 years old. Her weekly home care last week didn’t arrive, this week is no different. After a phone call asking for an explanation, we were told no one is coming next week either. She’s 99! It’s really very poor overall. Her long term familia faces who were originally assigned to mum were lovely but were suddenly swapped with unfamiliar faces in recent months causing mum a lot of sadness. No explanation was given.
Home care service was excellent until about July or August 2025 when changes in management altered everything. It is now a very unpleasant experience due to lack of scheduled times for domestic assistants. We now dont know when they are coming, nor who will be attending. We get new faces rather than the familiar staff we had for years. This adds to uncertainty, anxiety, confusion and security concerns. No amount of written requests to return to regular times and staff have resulted in any improvements. So damned frustrating.... read more

They will Eat up your funds very quickly in your home care package with FEES. Cancellation fees if less than a days' notice means paying full cost of the service. Service cost $103.50. Cancellation Fee is $103.50. Nurse charges for unregistered nurse visits. Mother passes away. Email demanding final fees be paid.$480. The debt was around &349 last year. it seems to have blown out to nearly 500$! this year. Heartless. Even CHARGED fees the day before mum passed away! Very disappointed with southern plus. Our experience was similar to Krishna Boddu ( reviewed ) although we also had a host of other problems, not been supplied the necessary equipment i.e. Hospital bed, wheelchair , table, incorrect sized pads that repeatedly take 3 or more weeks to be delivered. We moved to another provider and the difference is incredible, All equipment supplied within 2days of signing up.
