My husband and I rescued a puppy from this rescue and we had the best experience. They are thorough with the vetting process, and follow up on what they say they will do. Our Dakoda ( formerly George) was in a loving foster home before coming to us at 9 weeks old and is the best boy! We are so grateful to have found SAGRR! Our other rescue, Jackson is so happy too!
We made an inquiry for a nine year old boy needing a golden retriever. With life threatening brain tumor. Only to be turned down being a few miles out of area. Literally 75 minutes away. I have no issue making the drive but I guess they chose not to help.
The absolute most conceited, worst group of people you could ever deal with. It’s so sad. They have control over these poor dogs. Do everything you can to go somewhere else. Hopefully this group will break up.
The people at SAGRR couldn't be nicer. After applying, they do a home visit to make sure you're up to their standards and the dog would be successful and safe. They really spend a lot of effort making sure they get the right fit between home and dog. Some things to be aware of: SAGRR requires all of their adopting families to be members due to their insurance. This is $25 and not part of the adoption fee.
