My grandma spent time at Western Peaks and South Davis. Every facility has its issues and no place loves our loved ones like family but there were a few amazing people here. Jay and Katelyn AKA (John) and their helpers on the therapy team took the time to get to know my grandma Diane Burgess and I felt good knowing they saw her frequently. I will never forget their kindness and willingness to tailor their treatment to my grandma and her needs and interests. These kind of people make such a huge difference in the world! Amber in Rec Therapy came in on a Saturday to allow my family to have a long window visit on my grandma’s birthday, we will forever be grateful. There were several others who showed true care and concern for my grandma and we appreciate you all. Thank you for always being willing to assist my grandma with FaceTime and window visits.

I don't recommend putting your loved ones in this hospital. My mom and my sister and I worked there, my mom the longest. I worked there ten years and my mom worked there twenty years +. So, when she got really sick and needed to go someplace like this I was not worried at all. However, the place has changed, She was not cared for well. She was given insulin when she'd had no food and she heard been quite alert to tell them this. Not good. My dad almost had a heart attack when he came to be with her from early morning to late at night. That day he found her out cold and barely breathing on the floor. He got help and she was brought around and sent back to the hospital. This time she never left the hospital. I believe she's gone now because of CARE or lack thereof at South Davis. She'll be gone three years this Christmas.

My mother, Lucie, received wonderful care - the recreation therapy department was the best in providing many activities to give mom as full and active of a life as possible. She remained in her same room for her end of life care with South Davis Hospice to help in the transition to pass away peacefully.
