I recently visited Soukie Modern while wandering through Pioneertown and found a sweater I fell in love with for a gift for a family member. The quality was fantastic and the price was more than fair. Of course I messed up and got the recipient the wrong size, but got in touch with the owner, Taib, who offered to send me via mail a new size along with a return label for the wrong one (as I live two hours away). Definitely modern vibe. The clothes here are cute. I would recommend checking this store out. Its kind of hidden versus the other stores on the strip.
Soukie Modern in Pioneertown is such a special place! I took a workshop there and have not stopped raving about the experience to anyone who will listen. It was cool learning about the history of berber rug weaving and testing out the different techniques. Taib made a small loom for me and allowed me to select whatever yarn I wanted. I was able to take these back in my carry-on so I can make my own art piece using what I learned. Thank you so much, I’ll definitely be back.
