Sotto Voce is a great, fun, shop spot terrific store....has been a staple on Solano AVe for quite a while....ecclectic, fun, great staff and great location. great assortmnet of merchandise as well.... parking is easy as well
Great Staff and Clothes I've shopped here for a number of years and highly recommend it. They have a great selection of clothes - lots of things you won't see elsewhere. The staff is hugely helpful but never pushy - no pressure to buy anything. There is also a wide range of prices and often very good deals on purses. I don't agree with a prior reviewer about the clothes being tiny - I'm not small nor are many of my friends that I've brought in to shop there.
Cute gifts, tiny clothes Sotto Voce has some cute little gifts and jewelry items, but I've never felt totally comfortable going in there because the clothes come in tiny sizes and so do the employees. I think it must be part of the whole European thing that this store is going for -- fat Americans not welcome. The employees were never rude to me or anything like that, but I just felt like I was kind of invisible, and honestly they had no reason to pay attention to me because clearly I wasn't going to buy any clothes. Great clothes and gifts I love Sotto Voce, and have found a wide variety of sizes and great styles of clothing, in addition to lovely gifts for my women friends and their babies. The employees have been helpful and friendly, and they are not all rail thin, as one reviewer (who perhaps hasn't been there regularly) avowed. I'm going over there right now to buy some cashmere blend socks and some pretty soaps for my sister-in-law. Try Sotto Voce again -- you won't be disappointed.
