Pat simply took the money and ran. No product or service was ever delivered. Research eventually told me that he'd done this to several people with a total value in the many thousands. His MO = Advertise, show up, give estimates, take a serious deposit, disappear. It's not even clear whether or not he knows the first thing about marine canvas. He's a simple old school con man.
Absolutely the worst experience we encountered with the reupholstering to our boat. SOS did not reupholster the seats correctly or to our agreement. The workmanship was very poor and inconsistent. All the seats were improperly reinstalled. The custom made cover did not properly fit the boat. We had the cover modified by another shop in order to make it useable.
