We bring our family from Ecuador here everytime they visit and everyone, kids and adults, love it. The staff is extremely friendly. What you see and learn is amazing.
What a unique experience! I've been to butterfly exhibits at zoos, but they were primarily displays in buildings with the butterflies behind nets or glass enclosures. This was a completely different experience! You walk into a greenhouse that has natural light, beautiful plants and flowers, and so many varieties of colorful butterflies freely flying around you! We went on a cold day, but the greenhouse kept it warm inside. Definitely a unique experience, and it was very affordable!
I had been to butterfly exhibits before and expected to be underwhelmed. Boy was I wrong! First, the habitat's was filled with many tropical butterfly-attracting plants, creating a wonderfully delightful walk through the attraction. The butterflies were fluttering all around and alighting on their blooms is choice, giving us a good chance of capturing them in our photos! For some fortuitous reason, they were attracted to my hair and my companion was able to capture a video of one fluttering like a moving barrette at my head.
Wonderful destination for nature-lovers. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. I recently took a very informative class on butterfly gardening.
