If I could give Karl Sommer a negative star I would. Hire this attorney at your own peril! We hired Sommer Karnes to represent us in an appeal. We lost our appeal because Karl Sommer , in 10 months, failed to file any of the required court documents. We filed a complaint with the NM Disciplinary Board and they found we had credible evidence of attorney misconduct. Waiting for filing of a decision by NM Supreme Court on Disciplinary action.

Joseph Karnes lacks experience, transparency, honesty, or integrity. He is not qualified to handle real estate issues in Northern New Mexico, and tries to charge like an experienced lawyer would, without doing any research or attaining any results. He tried to charge me $3,200 for a few emails, a phone call where he just talked without listening most of the time, and writing a letter. $600 retainer down the drain, I'm better off handling the issue in question without him. What a clown.
