Gone downhill... I don't know what is going on at this salon, but I have gone through many technicians because they keep leaving! I used to see Sook for my hair, and she was phenomanal. Until I arrived for my last appointment, and she was gone. And they didn't even bother telling me. Which is pretty skeevy. For the prices, I'll go somewhere else.
OK in the end I was able to get an appointment here very easily and the staff was very nice when I went in. I wasn't very happy with my stylist and it took about a week to work things out, but in the end, the owner handled the situation well enough.
Nice Variety I was first recommended to Sook and she did a good job the first couple of times but she only seems to know one cut and didn't listen to me when I told her that I was tired of the classic bob look. I went to Mora once when Sook was busy, and she gave me a refreshing change. I have since seen Mora several times and recently got my hair highlighted by Souad. They all have their unique qualities and that is what I like about this place.
Great find I've struggled to find a good stylist/salon and I think I've finally found it in Sook at Solarus. She's really fantastic and I always seem to get compliments after a visit with her. It's expensive...but worth it.
Mission Accomplished! A few weeks ago I was running in the neighborhood and felt very weak. I was in front of Solarus when I felt like I was going to pass out. I went inside and the manager at the front desk jumped to help me. She gave me bottled water and candy to help me. I was so impressed and grateful for their kindness I decided to try their spa services.
Pleasantly surprised! I like checking out different salons, so when this salon opened near my house, I was very excited. I have since been back many times because not only is it convenient, each visit has been a true joy. The salon has a open, airy feel to it, while the spa is peaceful and tranquil. I almost feel asleep during my eyebrow wax! I used to go to into Georgetown for my hair, Lee highway for my nails, and Annandale for my facial!
