They need to house more women and children like New York City does . It’s a Human Right for women and children to have shelter here (even if you have zero papers or even if you’re an illegal immigrate. Or even if you exercise Your freedom of speech in your two bedroom Shelter apartment building. It’s heartbreaking how unhelpful Illinois is. The DV line in Chicago is number two in the world, but not number one if you feel me)

SMDH!! I am under protective custody and my abuser works for the Department of Defense. These people blatantly refused to assist me and my life is in imminate DANGER!! There funding needs to be revoked and this place needs to be closed!! She didn't even tell me that this was a domestic violence Center but wanted to question me! Not protocol at all!!

Currently living with my ex-husband who used to beat and rate me while we were married. Our Son has become violent over the past couple of years He got us evicted from where we were living at. I have had him move in with his father but I need help finding a place but because I have a job I am getting denied everywhere. Thank you for not having any services for women who work That's great That's awesome thank you

My family member just went here. Within 2 hours a woman was attacked in the kitchen. The next morning, my family had her personal items rummaged through and stolen! It was a terrible, stressful experience. She had to leave and return to her former situation.

Not the best place to go if you want to feel safe from abusive behaviors (especially if you’re African-American and raise your voice a little when you feel threatened by others). I’ve literally never felt more discriminated against in my entire 22 years of existence, this place is NOT true or trustworthy. The staff are too laid back and office bound to keep the residents safe from the inevitable consequences of orchestrating a community type environment.
