I started my OTR career here in 1990. Still owned and operated by the same family. Still a good place to work. I should have stayed. But, hey, 35yrs later my mistake is rectified and I'm back. Hopefully till retirement!
The people at SMX are a great bunch of people. I was employed by them as a truck driver for most of 5 years, and if I were to ever choose to go back to driving long-haul truck driving, SMX would be on the top of my list to go back to work for.
Coming up on my 4 year anniversary of driving for them. I've turned away many offers from other companies. There is no substitute for the welcome home, family feeling. This company makes this career a joy. I haven't had to work a single day. They are invested in me and my family, as we are to them. My children hope to join the team as soon as they are eligible.
