Love Smoky Mtn. Physical Therapy! I have been to PT at Haywood Reg. Med Center as well and out of the two, I prefer Smoky Mtn. This is because I have less hassle with my insurance there. The staff is personable, knowledgeable and professional. I also like their convenient location in Waynesville which is close to my work. I know that they follow the protocols outlined by my doctor for my rotator cuff repair because I have seen them refer back to his notes for clarification. I went to Smoky Mountain Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy for neck and shoulder pain, from sitting at a desk for over 30 years. Ben, Amy and everyone else were very professional, friendly and caring. Ben taught me exercises to do at home to strengthen my muscles to relieve the pain. I have a lot of improvement and highly recommend this group.
This PT practice is a gem! I have had months of prehab in preparation for knee replacement surgery and Smoky Mountain Sports Med and PT is the reason I am going into surgery with confidence! Mary Curtis and Sarah have been beyond helpful with treatment, advice and exercises to get me in the best shape possible. Ryan Marquart, with Smoky Mtn Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy, first at the Sylva location, and then in Waynesville, was a great help to me, getting me back on my feet and moving around, walking, and hiking. He patiently explained various stretches, exercises, dry needling, and massage therapy, which helped not only my feet, but their posture and balance implications. Highly recommended.
