Gearhead Honest and explains the situation. They won't fix what isn't broken. I have used them for several years now for all of my car needs other than tires (they don't sell them) . When a tire shop tried to sell me a brake job I took the car to Smitty's and was told there was no need for one, that the brake pads were still at a high percent. That is what a good and honest garage is about. Fair prices and ready to help with rush job.
Smitty's is great! – If you want honest and great service go to Smitty's for all your car service needs. Alan is a wonderful person who is honest and fair. They are no higher priced than any other auto service center in the area (Los Osos). When I had an emergency with my car Alan told me to tow it right to his place of business and he took care of me in one day! I mean one day...that was fabulous and that was my first experience. Five years later I am still a dedicated customer.
