Just received a yearly first time visit with Dr. Dondiego. I advise not to look any further. This is a true review. I have been going to a popular respected doctor who recently merged with another office. Unfortunately, i was dissatisfied with front staff and getting timely prescriptions. It has turned into one of those mills. I Requested 2x and waited over four months never receiving the prescription to get the glasses! We would never go anywhere else. Smithtown Optical is the best. Dr. Dondiego helped me understand how different options would affect the health of my eyes in addition to helping improve my vision correction. He didn't rush the exam and ensured I understood the choices and participated in making them, instead of acting like it was all too complicated for a mortal to understand. My cousins took me there for eye examination and glasses. They have been going there for years. I found Dr. Dondiego is very easy to talk to, and he explains everything he is doing in layman's terms. He is very thorough in his examination of your eyes. The staff is very courteous, caring, and professional they do appreciate a good joke or friendly banter. They have a wide selection of eyeware and accessories.Very relax atmosphere, and they take care of business. I definitely would recommend this optometrist to anyone
