I love the items I have bought from Smile Clothing over the years. Great designs and lovely fabrics - thank you. Unfortunately the last two times I have been in the shop in Motueka looking at garments with every intention to buy something the sales assistant has been a late middle-aged man. Both times he has been rude and sufficiently unpleasant to cause me to walk out of the shop shaken by his manner without making a purchase. I have been shopping in the store for over four years. I like the linen approach to fashion and some of the pieces in the shop are quite nice. It is unfortunate that most of the NZ designs are actually manufactured in China, but the quality is quite good. When I was in the store the last time I purchased a blouse that I had to try on in the storage area since there is only one dressing room in the shop and it was occupied by two women trying on several dresses.
