SmartStop is a locked REIT. Investors are kept out of viewing their account by continue breakdowns of the website for them. Never invest in a closed REIT (run from any broker that puts you in one- Google REITs). We are still trying to locate 60,000 dollars that Strategic Trust (now SmartStop) received from me and we cannot get info. We can't even find any info at all now on the website, though it recognizes my name. PS- their units may be great, but don't ever ever ever invest in them!

I had a 5 star experience on the phone with Rachel! She was able to answer all of my questions, was very polite and was able to get me set up quickly. I would highly recommend.
I would not recommend renting a storage unit from this company. My experience for the 1st time with this company was AWFUL. The onsite manager at one of their properties in Las Vegas, NV was allowing a group of 4 young teenagers (her children) to roam the storage facility driveways carrying toy guns in the dark during access hours lurking around buildings and pointing them out into the air.
