My brother is a disabled veteran, he opened a checking account in October 2023 with SmartBank. The bank close his account in December 2023. They never notified him that his account would be closed. When we asked why it was closed, we were told the account was closed as part of their end of the year purge. No other explanation was given.Zero stars
The process is easy and their staff are prompt and approachable. Good job to everyone!
Dealing with the Branch Manager of Sales was an unpleasant experience from initial contact. She had trouble answering emails in a timely fashion, refused to return calls, and when she did communicate, it was vague and unclear. I finally went over her head and my issue was solved quickly. I will close all accounts because of this treatment. C H********
