DO NOT GO THROUGH SMART START TO GET YOUR INTERLOCK DEVICE . I wouldn’t even give this review one star but I had to in order to write this .. First off they charge you 40 dollars just to book an appointment (that I did not want to book in the first place ) they lied about how much it was to install the device and I got a unexpected bill at the shop . they don’t work with your schedule you have to work into theirs and just take whatever time they give you because the shop only does 3 installs a day . Horrible service every time we go. The smart start employees are completely unprofessional and lacking in knowledge, even the owner of elite auto sounds is very rude and un helpful. Doesn’t know how to run a business. Google says they don’t close until 5:30 and he gave us some bullshit about smart start closing at 5:00. Not wasting my time any more, I’m making the trip to Bulverde from now on. I feel sorry for his wife/ business partner.
If you want to get ripped off go with Smart Start. Just to be clear Elite Auto Sounds is an installer and that’s all they do. Smart Start the company is a complete rip off. Let me tell you, miss one calibration and you’ll find out. They charged me a missed appointment fee, a code fee, and another fee for not making my appointment on the designated day the total was about 400.00. They lie and tell you it’s gonna be 50.00 when you call them, then you’ll get slapped with a fat bill. The customer service is horrible as well.
