The Smart Start system was great, it was the circumstances and the fact that mouthwash alcohol isn't a calibrated item for these devices. The MVA(MD) and most others use this system as a behavior modification tool Not simply for what it's created for, which is- if there's a trace of alcohol in your system you can't DRIVE PERIOD. The MVA's across the country should be taken to task on this issue..There should only be violations for actual 'Rolling Retest' or Lock outs which you have to pay$50 anyway, that's the violation!!!
