The only complaint I have are with the fees. I was quoted over the phone $94 to Smartstart and between $125-200 for the shop installing. Well it turned out it was $113 to Smartstart and $302 to the shop. The shop owner charges $269 plus tax, plus $11-12 debit card fee=$302. I asked repeatedly is $269 the total he said yes but charged my card $302. It's a failure to properly communicate. I get business owners need to pay taxes but COMMUNICATE that! Smart start should already be paying this guy why is he charging a 25 dollar contract fee.I will be looking into this it's hard to make it as it is why rob people for their money
They were polite but didn't honor their coupon given to me by p.o. and I was quoted $125 over phone by company, $135 over phone by shop, then quoted $169 after driving 45 minutes to get there. I left with $300 spent by the time it was all over. Plus, I have COPD and am unable to use my car now because I don't have enough breath in my lungs to make it say pass. This is a nightmare 😫 I can't get a hold of p.o. to give them permission to recalibrate it for my disability. My attorney called them but smart start is ignoring this... read more
